Can I register for the conference to attend without submitting an abstract?
Yes. All interested parties will be welcome to participate in the conference. Registration will open during the first week of November. There is no cost associated with attending or registering for the conference. As such, there will be an initial step to “Apply to Register” to filter out spam requests. Students, professionals, and experts are all equally welcome from around the world.
Where is the conference located?
The conference will be held at the APEX convention center in King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center (KAPSARC) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
How can I acquire a visa to enter Saudi Arabia?
Saudi Arabia has opened its doors to visitors from all over the world with its E-visa program since September, 2019. Visitors may acquire a multiple-entry visa valid for a year that will allow them to stay in the country for up to 90 days. A tourist visa is acceptable for attending the conference. The visa is relevant to tourism-related activities and Umrah (excluding Hajj season) and excludes other activities such as studying.

Is there a virtual option for attendance?
While the Plenary Sessions will be live streamed, the Concurrent Sessions will be held in person. The 2023 IAEE Conference will be held as an in-person conference.
